Alex is knowledgeable, timely, and patient. He does not expect you to understand the inner workings of a pool, and exhibits high patience, provides simple answers, and gives off no condescension (which is much appreciated).
The approach observed: After an issue has been identified, Alex lays out a clear plan, executes that plan, and completes the work within the established time. Communication is clear, pricing is stable (no surprises), and expectations are met with ease.
Examples:
Our pool fountain was slowing down to a trickle and the surface water had developed a film, despite the pool pump being on/working. Also, the pressure of large filter was rising. It appeared our pool had reached the final stages of heart failure. I had discussed the issue with our then pool serviceman, but could not pin down a plan of action.
I called Alex from a google search, and he scheduled our pool for a complimentary consultation that afternoon. Hours later, he arrived at the estimated time, easily diagnosed the issue, and set out dates/prices for the project if I wanted to move forward. There was no pressure, no manipulation, no with holding of info, no condescension.
He kindly offered to spray down the filters as best he could (the same day) to prevent further stress on the pool's filtering system; this was BEFORE we made our decision about hiring him for the project. He also add tablets and some other simple tweaks that were not being covered by our prior service...maybe? Our pool was so clear the same day from the tweaks he was able to complete.
A week later, the large filters arrived, he returned at the scheduled time, and our "old pool," is working well and with sparkling clear waters!
